Designing a Fast, Flexible Lending Experience for SMEs
In this project, I worked on streamlining the loan application journey for a fintech platform (codename: Blitz), designed to support small to enterprise-level businesses in accessing capital with ease. The core challenge was to simplify a traditionally complex and intimidating process — business loans — into a guided, transparent, and frictionless experience.


The product offers two key lending options: a classic term loan for larger enterprises, and FlexPay, a reusable credit line with near-instant approval. My role focused on designing a clear decision-making moment between the two, followed by a seamless end-to-end flow — from verification and KYC onboarding to repayment and billing management. One of the standout moments in the flow is the invitation-only gate for FlexPay, adding a layer of exclusivity and security without disrupting usability.


Throughout the experience, I leaned on clarity, consistency, and speed. Every touchpoint — from uploading identity documents to selecting repayment methods — was optimized for business owners who may be busy, under pressure, or non-technical. By balancing regulatory requirements with modern UX principles, we delivered a product that feels as fast and reliable as the financing it offers.

Design Solution

Clear Loan Option Comparison:
Designed a side-by-side layout to help users quickly compare repayment terms, limits, and eligibility for Loan vs. FlexPay, reducing decision fatigue.

  • Exclusive Access with Invitation Code Flow:
    Introduced a gated FlexPay entry using an invitation code modal — adding a layer of trust, while maintaining a smooth and focused user experience.

  • Step-by-Step KYC Process:
    Broke down identity verification into digestible, clearly explained steps (KTP + selfie) with visual guidelines to reduce upload errors and support conversion.

  • Progressive Disclosure in Forms:
    Used form segmentation and inline validation to maintain a clean UI and avoid overwhelming users during onboarding and application.

  • Humanized Repayment Interface:
    Made complex payment flows feel approachable through real-time feedback, expandable instructions by method (mobile, ATM, online), and confirmation modals.

  • Credit Management Dashboard:
    Designed a bill tracker and available balance overview with smart alerts (e.g. minimum payment warnings) to support financial planning and reduce late fees.
